How do I access trust accounting?

Note: You will need system administrator permissions to change the accounting type.

To Enable Trust Accounting follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Settings link in the top right corner of the screen
  2. Click the Edit Settings button
  3. Click on the System tab
  4. Put a check next to Use Trust Accounting
  5. Click Save Changes

You will now be able to find the Trust Accounting section in a client or project (unless you have external accounting enabled). There you can add a trust and funds. You can transfer in and out of one trust to another and add deposits and disbursements.


Note* If you do not see the "Trust Accounting" under your Settings you may have signed up for a Standard plan which does not include Trust Accounting. Please contact Support at 877-245-5484 x2 or email to assist you with switching to a Legal plan.
