quicker way to apply received payments
PlannedThe "Receive Payment" screen could be made much easier & quicker to use if it auto-filled the individual invoice payment amounts and total payment just by clicking on each outstanding invoice from the list after selecting a client.
Would still need to override the amount being applied if the payment does not match the invoice amount, but this is rare.
To see a great way of making this work check out Sage 50. Normally don't even need to key in a single dollar amount.

Hello Paul,
Thanks for submitting this feature request. This is actually an idea we are working to implement in the redesign of the Payments process. The remaining balance of the invoice will auto-fill into the field for the amount to be applied. This would be similar to the batch trust payments feature, which auto-fills the amount and also guards against overdrawing the available funds. As soon as these features are released, we will be sure to alert all users. You can also keep an eye out on our blog and social media channels for weekly release updates. Have a great day!Comment actions -
Our firm routinely receives wires covering numerous invoices. The system should be designed such that a list of all open invoices for a client can be pulled up at once and then all invoices covered by the wire can simply be checked off as paid. Processing individual invoices one at a time is inefficient.

The majority of our clients pay their entire batch of invoices in one check. It is extremely tedious to have to create a separate payment for each invoice. It would be great to be able to enter one payment and apply it to each invoice. This will be a great function to have - looking forward to the update!

The functionality should not be limited to invoice batches. Our invoices are prepared and sent out individually, throughout the month, as soon as a billable task is complete (project billing). For us, we would need to pull up all open invoices for the client and check off, as paid, the individual invoices covered by the client's payment.
