To retain the integrity of the ABA tasks for the sake of LEDES formats, the ABA Activity and Task codes are standard in the Bill4Time system. However, if you need to add or edit ABA Task or Activity codes required by the LEDES portal you use, the  support team will be happy to assist you with the development request. Please submit your request to support@bill4time.com.

I'd like this feature as well. For example, I don't need the Bankruptcy codes, Counseling codes, or Project codes. So I would like to be able to toggle them on or off per case. I would also like to edit the Activity and Litigation codes available for use on a per client basis; I have clients that will not pay any charges with a certain code, and I would like to prevent users from using that code.

Our firm is having this same issue. Was any solution provided or feature added? All of the code sets are listed in the Firm Settings, but  there are no settings to change. Is there an option for deactivating sets that are unusable? If these codes are missed in the review process, they cause invoice rejections, and take time to edit and resubmit. This is an ongoing issue, and adding a feature to select allowed code sets would solve it.

Hi Kris, thank you for your response. Since the different code sets are used independently, I was wondering if there is a plan to allow the selection of a specific ABA code set?

For example; my firm only uses the Litigation set. So if a timekeeper accidentally selects a single Bankruptcy, Counseling, or Project code, our clients will reject the whole invoice, as this is a disallowed code for us.
Additionally, the heading codes (those that end in 00) are not allowed at all, yet are available to select for tasks, and these also cause rejections.

Is there going to be a feature in the future to allow the administrator to select the specific code set under which we operate? As well as remove the heading codes from the selection list? The current set up with all or none, causes multiple issues.

    Thank you
