Locations can now be added to the system from the Client, Matter, or Location level. Locations however are only assigned or associated to at the matter (Project/case), so reporting will only reflect for locations assigned at the matter level.
Tax Purposes:
When you are a firm that works across state borders (or any borders) you may need to track where a client is located or where the work is being done to ensure the work is attributed to the correct state tax codes.
Adding locations to clients like Kansas or Missouri allows you to identify via reports where the work was done quickly. We will continue to add locations to reports, if there is a report you would like prioritized please reach out to our support team at support@bill4time.com.
Further Matter Breakdown:
We often hear from users who need to further track time entries, to provide detail to their work. For example, a medical case may require the ability to further break down the time spent on the case by each provider or medical facility. Adding the location to each time entry allows for this to be included in reports.
