The following areas in the system are for selecting and/or entering the information for your firm or organization that will appear at the top of your invoices and Statements. The header and/or Statement information can be set in a few different ways in the system.
*Please note: Any changes made to templates are global and impact any client or project that the template is in use for.
**Please note: Before updating templates please consult with your other System Admins to ensure updates to templates are desired.
Please see the hierarchy below:
1. In System Settings on the "Invoice Setup" tab. The data entered here is able to be selected for the Invoice Template in Invoice Setup. The "Company Details" section in the Invoice Template Editor allows you to determine which data fields you would like to show on your invoices.
Options include - Company Name, street Address, City/State/Zip, Country, Phone, etc.
2. This second area overrides the above data. Make sure the template checked is the template you want to update. Go to Settings then the Invoice Setup Tab, then click Edit Settings.
You can then uncheck "Invoice/Statement Header Text: Use Default Header" and fill in the text box as needed. Once finished, click the blue Save button.
3. The third area that can updated overrides the previous two areas. Go to Clients and then click on a client, then go to their Invoice Presets tab. From there, click the blue Edit button.
You can then uncheck "Invoice/Statement Header Text: Use Default Header" and fill in the text box as needed. Then click the Blue Save Button. This comes in handy if you want to change the header for one specific client.
4. The fourth area you can update the header overrides the above two. Go to Projects, then click on a project and go to their Invoice Presets tab. From there, click Edit. Uncheck "Use Client Settings" checkbox at the top left first, then scroll down to uncheck "Invoice/Statement Header Text: Use Default Header" and fill in the text box as needed.
