To export your data from CosmoLex, you'll need to access your firm's data export options within the platform. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:

📁 Step 1: Navigate to the Data Export Section

From the main dashboard, go to “Setup” or “Admin” (depending on your permissions).

Choose “Export Data” under the Utilities or Firm Settings section.
🧾 Step 2: Choose the Data You Want to Export
CosmoLex allows you to export the following:
Common Data Types:

Select date ranges, filters, or specific categories depending on the section you're exporting.

Choose the format: CSV, Excel, or PDF (CSV is best for imports into other systems like Bill4Time).

Once you've configured your export, click “Export” or “Download.”

Files will either download directly or be emailed to you (depending on your export settings).

Export each module separately for clarity (e.g., one for Clients, one for Matters, etc.).

Keep your original CosmoLex IDs (Client/Matter) if you’re importing into another system.

Double-check that all dates and amounts are preserved correctly during export.

For importing into Bill4Time, your Customer Success Manager can help map fields and format your data using Google Sheets.
