Within Bill4Time, your Currency type can be selected/set at:
- the global Account level, to be used as a default for all Clients and their Projects/Matters.
- the Client level, which will affect only that specific client and their Projects/Matters.
CHANGING CURRENCY AT THE GLOBAL/ACCOUNT LEVEL
Please follow these instructions to change the currency type for your entire account:
- Click on your name in the upper right corner of the screen, then select Settings in the dropdown menu.
- Click on the System tab, then click the blue Edit Settings button on the right side of the screen.
- Change the Default Currency to your preferred currency.
- Click the blue Save button at the top of the page to lock this change in.
CHANGING CURRENCY FOR SPECIFIC CLIENTS
Please follow these instructions to change the currency type for a specific Client:
- Click on the Clients tab, in the row of gray tabs along the top of your screen.
- Search for and select the client you're wanting to change the currency on.
- Click the blue Edit Details button at the top right of their profile.
- Change their Currency dropdown to your preferred currency type.
- Click the blue Save button at the top of the page to lock this change in.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT CURRENCY SETTINGS
- Any currency type set at the Global or Client level will automatically apply to any Projects/Matters under your Client's profile(s). Bill4Time does not currently have a way to specify currency types at the Project/Matter level.
- There is no currency conversion capability within Bill4Time. When switching the Currency in Bill4Time, the program will not calculate the exchange rates between the US dollar and the currency you select.
- When "Other" for currency is selected in the currency drop down, there is an option to add in your own currency symbol. When saving this currency symbol, it will appear on any Invoices using that currency. This will automatically update your invoices.
