In Bill4Time, you can change the Mnemonic for certain words (i.e. instead of "Project" you may prefer "Case" or "Matter") in order to further customize both the user & client experience. This feature allows you to better reflect your own personal business approach when handling these aspects of your practice!
WHICH MNEMONICS CAN I CHANGE?
The following Mnemonics can be changes in the System Settings of your Bill4Time account:
|Project||A descriptive word that best captures the type of projects you work with.||
Project, Matter, Case, Work Order, etc.
|Labor||A descriptive word that best captures the type of work you perform.||Labor (Labour), Service, etc.|
|Activity||A descriptive word that best captures the type of activities you perform.||Activity, Action, Task, etc.|
(1 and 2)
|A descriptive word that best captures the type of tax (or secondary tax) you collect.||Tax, HST, GSD, VAT, Admin Fee, etc.|
Note: There is no need to place an "s" at the end of your Mnemonic, as the system will automatically add one for you. If you see "Projectss", "Casess", "Matterss", etc. in certain areas of your system such as the top navigation bar, go back to your settings and remove the additional "s" from that Mnemonic's text field.
CHANGING YOUR MNEMONIC SETTINGS
The Mnemonics for your account can be changed in the System Settings. (If you do not have access to the firm Settings you will need to contact your System Admin to make this change.) Follow the steps below to make the desired changes:
- Click on "Settings" under your name in the top right corner of the system.
- Click into the "System" tab.
- Click the blue "Edit Settings" button.
- Change the desired Mnemonics to whatever terms you'd like to use.
- Click the "Save Changes" button.
